• It is submitted that the visiting officer has reported that the industry is not in operation. Vide note dated 12.06.2024, the visiting officer reported that the industry has made proper arrangements for storage of paper mill sludge and has constructed shed of dimensions 60 ft X 60 ft with brick cement mortar flooring whereas during visit the sludge was also observed to be unloaded adjoining to the impervious flooring outside the shed, however recommended the application for grant of authorization and passbook under HOWM Rules, 2016 mentioning that the industry is complying with the provisions of the HOWM Rules, 2016 and also with SOPs framed for such type of units.........................
• Subsequently, a clarification was raised to the Regional Office to comment that whether any ETP sludge of pulp & paper mill was found in the industrial premises during visit to the industry on 16.06.2024………….
• Vide note dated 20.06.2024, the visiting officer reported that the industry was not in operation and no sludge was found stored at site and recommended the application for grant of authorization and passbook under HOWM Rules, 2016……………
• It is, therefore submitted that from the perusal of the note history, it can be concluded that the industry was not operation, however an executed an agreement with M/s Satia Industries, Distt. Sri Muktsar Sahib for procurement of the paper mill sludge and no sludge was found stored at site of the industry as reported by the visiting officer vide note dated 20.06.2024………..
