The industry was granted consent to operate’ under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/SAS/2019/10978417 dated 23/09/2019 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/SAS/2019/10978394 dated 23/09/2019, both having validity upto 30/06/2024.
Now, the industry has obtained auto-renewal ‘consent to operate’ under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTO/Renewal/SAS/2024/25849339 dated 05.06.2024 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTO/Renewal/SAS/2024/25849123 dated 05.06.2024, both having validity upto 05.06.2029.
The industry has applied for authorization under the Hazardous & Other Wastes (Management & Tran boundary) Rules, 2016- Category- 5.1 - Used or spent oil @ 0.1 KL/Annum, Category 5.2- Wastes or residues containing oil @ 0.090 Number/Annum, Category- 33.1 - Empty barrels/containers/liners contaminated with hazardous chemicals /wastes @ 70 KL/Annum, Category- 12.8- Plating metal sludge @ 0.060 T/Annum.
Visit:
Accordingly, the industry was visited by AEE of this office and it was observed as under:
1. The industry is engaged in the business of manufacturing of Plant Control Panels by using CR Sheet, Wire, Hardware goods & electrical goods etc. as raw material.
2. The industry was in operation during the visit.
3. The processes involved in the manufacturing of product of the industry is as follows:-
Wiring Powder Coating Surface treatment Assembling Bending CuttingRM Dispatch.Testing
4. The source of fresh water is PSIEC supply, and a water meter has been provided on the supply line of water. The industry is maintaining record regarding consumption of water.
5. The industry is generating trade effluent from the surface treatment process which includes de-greasing, de-rusting, phosphating, passivation etc. steps and the trade effluent is generated from the said process. The industry has installed tanks for collection of the same. The industry has made agreement with CETP i.e. M/s Bantech waters, Kurali for lifting & treatment of the collected trade effluent from its premises. Further, the industry has provided separate flow meter at the offset of Surface Treatment Section and is maintaining record regarding consumption of fresh water in the said section & the trade effluent lifted by the CETP.
6. The industry has installed 02 no. powder coating section along with a common drying oven within it premises. The industry has installed cyclone separators as recovery unit cum APCD with the powder coating section.
7. The industry has installed 01 no. DG set of capacity 125 KVA& 30 KVA, which were equipped with canopy and stacks of adequate height.
8. The industry has constructed a dedicated storage room for storage of hazardous waste of different categories. The said room is covered from the top and is provided with lock and key facility.
9. The industry is maintaining record of generation and disposal of hazardous waste being generated from its premises. As per the records, the present details of hazardous waste of the industry is as under:

In view of above, if may approved, the industry may be granted authorization under the Hazardous & Other Wastes (Management & Transboundary movement) Rules, 2016 for Generation, Collection, Storage, Reuse, Treatment of hazardous waste Category- 5.1 - Used or spent oil @ 0.1 KL/Annum, Category 5.2- Wastes or residues containing oil @ 0.090 Number/Annum, Category- 33.1 - Empty barrels/containers/liners contaminated with hazardous chemicals /wastes @ 70 KL/Annum, Category- 12.8- Plating metal sludge @ 0.060 T/Annum upto 05.06.2029 (i.e. upto validity of CTO) with usual conditions as per the policy of the Board and the following additional condition:
1. The industry shall comply with the provisions of Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016, at all times.
2. The industry shall dispose of hazardous waste of category 5.2 and 12.8 to operator of TSDF Nimbua, under proper manifest system
3. The industry shall get hazardous waste of category 5.1 and 33.1 lifted to the authorized recycler only under proper manifest system
