It is submitted that the industry is covered under ‘small scale green category’ telecom. Earlier, the industry was granted consent to operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renew/LDH4/2021/17108747 dated 03.11.2021, which was valid upto 31.12.2022 for 02 DG sets of capacities (01x160 KVA and 01x50 KVA equipped with canopies along with adequate stack height and same was renewed vide no. CTO/Renewal/LDH4/2024/24978883 dated 27.02.2024, upto 27.02.2026 with certain conditions.
Now, the industry has applied for fresh of authorization under Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Trans-boundary Movement) Rules, 2016 for generation, storage & disposal of hazardous waste of category 5.1 Used or spent oil (Schedule-I) @ 0.100 KL/Annum through OCMMS on 11.07.2024.
The industry was visited by undersigned on 23.07.2024 and it was observed as under:-
1. The industry was in operation.
2. The industry has installed 02 DG sets of capacities (01x160 KVA and 01x50 KVA equipped with canopies alongwith adequate stack height.
3. The industry has submitted stack emission as well as noise monitoring report for 02 D.G sets analyzed from the ECO laboratories which are within prescribed limits.
4. The industry is generating hazardous waste of category 5.1 (i.e. used oil from DG set) only.
5. The industry has executed agreement with agency i.e. M/s Lubrisales India Pvt. Ltd, F-192. Riico Industrial Area, Khushkhera, Bhiwadi, District Alwar for lifting of hazardous waste category 5.1.
6. The industry has provided hazardous waste storage room of hazardous waste of category 5.1.
7. The industry has not provided danger sign board outside the hazardous waste storage room
8. The industry has no other source of generation of hazardous waste as observed during the visit.
In view of above, it is recommended that authorization under Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Trans-boundary Movement) Rules, 2016 may be granted to the industry for 05 years with suitable conditions and with special conditions that the industry will dispose off its hazardous waste of category 5.1 Used or spent oil.
