Sub:- Application for authorization under Bio Medical Waste (Management) Rules, 2016- M/s New Randhawa Hospital, Fatehgarh Churian, Tehsil-Batala, District-Gurdaspur.
It is submitted that earlier the hospital was granted authorization under Bio Medical Waste (Management) Rules, 2016 vide reference no. BMW/Renewal/GRP/2021/16095312 dated 25/06/2021 which was valid upto 30/09/2021 for 16 beds. Now, the hospital has applied for authorization under Bio Medical Waste Management Rules, 2016 through OCMMS for 16 beds.
The hospital has deposited Rs. 2000/- vide UTR No. POD026899960 dated 02/07/2024 and Rs. 2000/- vide reference no. PSIBN24206529918 dated 24/07/2024 under Bio Medical Waste Management Rules, 2016 fee which is valid for further one year period. The hospital has submitted copy of ownership, bed capacity copy of agreement, site plan/location plan. The HCF has entered into an agreement with M/s Bio-Medical Waste Treatment Plant Pvt. Ltd. Village- Pangoli, Pathankot for collection, transportation, treatment and disposal of Bio-Medical Waste generated by it. The hospital is having bed capacity of 16 nos. and competency to decide the case lies with Environmental Engineer.
In view of the above, it is recommended that authorization under Bio-Medical Waste Management Rules, 2016 may be granted to the HCF for a period upto 31/03/2025 for 16 beds subject to suitable conditions along with special conditions:-
1. The HCF shall install ETP-cum –STP to treat effluent being generated from the Hospital and as per instructions issued by the Board vide order No. 100 dated 10/03/2023 within time bound manner.
2. The HCF will renew its agreement time to time made with Common Bio Medical Waste Treatment Facility well before its expiry and submit the copy of same in this office.
3. The HCF shall adopt / implement the amended Bio Medical Waste Management Rules, 2016.
