Sir, the industry was earlier granted authorization dated 08.04.2019, upto 07.04.2024 for category 5.1 @ 0.300 KL/Year, category 33.1 @ 200 Numbers/Year & category 35.3 @ 0.350 TPA.
Now, the industry has applied for renewal of authorization under Hazardous and Other Wastes Rules, 2016 for category 5.1 @ 0.300 KL/Year, category 33.1 @ 200 Numbers/Year & category 35.3 @ 0.350 TPA.
Sir, the application of the industry has been perused and following observations has been made:-
1. The industry has not intimated the status of total generation / lifting of hazardous waste from 2019 to 2024 of hazardous waste category 5.1.
2. The industry has not intimated the status of total generation/ lifting of hazardous waste from 2019 to 2024 of hazardous waste category 33.1.
3. The industry has not intimated the status of total generation / lifting of hazardous waste from 2019 to 2024 of hazardous waste category 35.3.
4. The industry has failed to submit the valid agreement for lifting of hazardous waste category 35.1.
5. The industry has not submitted compliance report of conditions of previous authorization granted under the Hazardous and other Waste (Management & Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 in annotated form.
If approved, show cause notice for refusal of authorization under the Hazardous and other Waste (Management & Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 may be issued to industry with hearing before CEE, Ludhiana please. (Category - Orange, Large) (Competency -CEE)
