• It is intimated that the hospital is a 20 bedded hospital.
• Earlier, the hospital was granted authorization under the BMW (Management & Handling) Rules, 2016 vide no. BMW/Renewal/JAL2/2023/21779490 dated 28.04.2023 valid upto 30.09.2023 for 05 beds with suitable conditions mentioned therein.
• Now, the hospital has applied for renewal of authorization under BMW (Management & Handling) Rules, 2016 through OCMMS of the Board for 20 beds.
• The hospital has deposited Rs. 5000/- Vide UTR No. N031242856328460 Dated 31.01.2024, Rs. 10000/- vide UTR no. 674548252 dated 29.07.2024 and Rs. 2000/- vide UTR No. 126107952 Dated 29.07.2024 which are adequate upto 31.03.2031.
• The hospital was visited by AEE of this office on 29.07.2024 and it was observed that:
1. The hospital was in operation during visit.
2. The hospital having bed capacity of 20 as per certificate submitted by the hospital.
3. The hospital has provided color coded bins at various locations inside its premises. The segregation was found proper.
4. The hospital has installed 1 no. D.G set of capacity 200 KVA with canopy and is attached to stacks of adequate height.
5. The hospital has made arrangement for liquid waste treatment through Sodium Hypo-chloride solutions.
6. Effluent is sent to terminal STP.
7. The hospital has provided needle shredders at various locations, which were found in operational condition.
8. The hospital has maintained record of bio medical waste generated & lifted to CBWTF. From the record it is clear that the hospital is regularly getting its Bio-Medical waste lifted to CBWTF.
9. The hospital has provided final room with lock and key facility for storage of Bio-Medical Waste.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that the authorization under BMW (Management & Handling) Rules, 2016 may be granted upto 30.09.2029 with usual terms and conditions and with special condition that: -
1. The HCF shall ensure to comply with the effluent standards as notified under BMW Rules, 2016, amended upto date and subsequent amendments if any.
2. The HCE will renew its agreement with concerned CBWTF on expiry of the same.
