The industry has applied varied consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974, Air Act, 1981 and Authorization under the Hazardous and other Waste (Management & Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 for manufacturing of Acrylic Polyester Blended Yarn @ 5 MTD and Polyester Blended Yarn @ 4 MTD using Acrylic Fiber, Polyster Fiber, Man made fiber @ 10 MTD under under orange category as industry has closed its dyeing process. The industry has submitted its request to waive off the Bank Guarantee of RS. 10.0 Lacs as the industry has closed it's Dyeing Water pollution generating process permanently & has dismantled the machinery, so there will be no Water pollution in future.
The applications for consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 has been processed separately for restoration of electric connection of the industry for six months.
In view of the above, it is recommended as under:-
1. The authorization under the Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 may be granted to the industry for six months with suitable conditions.
2. Directions u/s 33-A of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, u/s 31-A of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and u/s 5 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 may be issued for restoration of electric connection for six months, please.
3. The request of the industry to waive off Bank Guarantee of Rs. 10.0 Lacs imposed on the industry may be considered, please.
