The industry has made agreement with M/s DSG Papers Private Limited for supply of primary ETP sludge to manufacture Grey Board. Now, the industry has proposed to use ETP sludge also as raw material. ……………….
The industry has applied for obtaining fresh authorization under the HWM Rules, 2016 for collection and utilization of hazardous waste along with application for obtaining of passbook / actual user certificate for reprocessing ETP sludge of pulp & paper mill (category 32.3 of schedule-I of HWM Rules) @ 90T/A. ………………..
As already mentioned, vide note dated 14.05.2025 and 27.05.2025, the industry was complying with the provisions of Water Act, 1974, Air Act, 1981 and Hazardous Waste Management Rules, 2016 as well as SOPs prescribed by CPCB for such type of industry……………..
Keeping in view of above, note dated 14.05.2025 and 27.05.2025, it is again recommended that: -
1. The industry may be granted authorization under the Hazardous & Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement), Rules, 2016 for utilization of Hazardous Waste of category 32.3 @ 90 T/A with suitable conditions……………………...
2. Passbook for reprocessing of Hazardous Waste may be issued to the industry for utilization of Hazardous Waste i.e., paper mill sludge @ 90 T/A…………………………
