Earlier, the industry was granted authorization under Hazardous & Other Wastes (Management & Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 vide no. HWM/renew/FGS/2025/27727193 dated 14/02/2025, valid upto 30/09/2025 for the Cat. no. 35.1 @ 3.82 T/Annum and Cat. no. 5.1 @ 0.20 KL/Annum, respectively.
Now, Regional Office has reported that the industry has applied for renewal of the authorization and has also enclosed Manifest No. 56305 dated 27.06.2025 and Manifest No. 0043 dated 23.04.2025, vide which the industry has lifted Cat. 35.1 @ 2260 Kg to M/s Re Sustainably Ltd., Dera Bassi, SAS Nagar and category 5.1 @ 112 litre and 5.2 @ 120 Kg to M/s Aggarwal manufacturing Co. Focal Point, Ludhiana.
From the above, it is evident that the industry is generating 3 types of hazardous waste i.e. 35.1, 5.1 and 5.2, but has applied authorization only for Cat. 35.1 and 5.1.
If approved, Regional Office be asked to return this application and get the fresh authorization applied from the industry for actual categories of hazardous waste generated inside the premises, pl.
