● It is intimated that the hospital is a small-scale hospital with 30 beds capacity.
● Earlier, the hospital was granted consent to establish (NOC) under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1981 Vide no. CTE/Fresh/JAL2/2024/26798180 dated 12.09.2024 valid upto 11.09.2025 for 25 beds with suitable and special conditions mentioned therein.
● Now, the hospital has applied for fresh authorization under the BMW Rules, 2016 for 30 beds through OCMMS of the Board.
● The hospital has deposited Rs. 10000/- Vide UTR/Reference No. 571044094 Dated 04.11.2025 under the BMW Rules, 2016, adequate upto 31.03.2029.
● The hospital has submitted approved building plan of the hospital from Competent Authority.
● The hospital has submitted water sewerage bill from Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar.
● The hospital has submitted electricity bill of the hospital as proof of date of commissioning mentioning date of connection be 15.05.2025.
● The applications of fresh consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 is processed separately.
● The hospital was visited by AEE of this office on 31.10.2025 and observed that:
a. The hospital was in operation during visit.
b. The hospital having bed capacity of 30 as per certificate submitted by the hospital.
c. The hospital has provided color coded bins at various locations inside its premises. The segregation was found proper.
d. The hospital has made arrangement for liquid waste treatment through Sodium Hypo-chloride solutions.
e. Effluent is sent to the terminal STP of Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar.
f. The hospital has provided needle shredders at various locations, which were found in operational condition. The hospital has maintained record of bio medical waste generated & lifted to CBWTF. From the record it is clear that the hospital is regularly getting its Bio-Medical waste lifted to CBWTF.
g. The hospital has provided final room with lock and key facility for storage of Bio-Medical Waste.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that authorization under the BMW Rules, 2016 may be granted to the hospital upto 31.03.2029 with usual terms and conditions and with special condition that: -
i) The HCF shall ensure to comply with the effluent standards as notified under BMW Rules, 2016, amended upto date and subsequent amendments if any.
ii) The HCF will renew its agreement with concerned CBWTF on expiry of the same.
