It is submitted that industry is a small scale red category dyeing unit. The industry has obtained fresh Consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 which is valid upto 30.06.2028 ………….The industry has now applied for fresh authorization under Hazardous Wastes (Management Handling & Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 for Cat. 35.3 @ 60 TPA, Cat. 33.1 @ 600 Number/Annum, Cat. 5.1 @ 0.02 KLA. The industry has filled online application form, copy of agreement with TSDF NIMBUA for cat. 35.3, copy of agreement with Aggarwal Manufacturing Co. for cat. 5.1, copy of agreement with M/s J.S Plastic for cat. 33.1. …………………. The industry has provided a common room of 9'x6.5'x8' for storage of hazardous waste under category 35.3, 33.1 & category 5.1. ………….
It has currently around 4 Tons of sludge (35.3) and around 100 Drums and no waste oil is kept (5.1). The storage facility is adequate for storage of category 35.3 and 5.1 hazardous waste for 90 days whereas it is not adequate for 33.1 category. Further , the unit has not attached the form IV ………………
The unit is not complying with HWM rules, 2016
It is therefore recommended that SCN for refusal of authorization may be issued with PH at ZO level under the provisions of HWM rules, 2016 please.(comp. SEE, Small, Red)
