• It is intimated that the industry is small scale red category unit.
• Earlier, the industry had obtained fresh authorization under Hazardous wastes (Management, Handling & Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 for category 8.2- Sludge and filter cakes @ 4.5 T/Annum, 11.5- Drosses and waste from treatment of salt sludge@ 4.5 T/Annum , 7.4-Nonferrous metal bearing sludge and residue @ 4.5 Ton/Annum, 6.3- Other residues from processing of zinc ash or skimmings @ 4.5 Ton/Annum, 5.1-Used or spent oil @ 0.005 KL/Annum which is expired on 30.06.2025.
• Now, the industry has applied for renewal of authorization under Hazardous wastes (Management, Handling & Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 for category, 8.2- Sludge and filter cakes @ 4.5 T/Annum, 7.4-Nonferrous metal bearing sludge and residue @ 4.5 Ton/Annum, 11.5- Drosses and waste from treatment of salt sludge@ 4.5 T/Annum ,6.3- Other residues from processing of zinc ash or skimmings @ 4.5 Ton/Annum, 5.1-Used or spent oil @ 0.005 KL/Annum.
• The industry has submitted the layout plan showing HW room, form IV of last year, compliance report and made an agreement with Greenfield nimbua for lifting of its HW.
• The industry has submitted the copy of Actual user certificate issued by the Board which is expired on 30.06.2025. The industry has deposited Rs. 10,000/- vide Cheque No. 000080 dated 10.10.2025 as Actual User Fee.
The industry was visited by officer of this office on 10.11.2025 and it was observed that the industry was in operation during visit.
1. The industry has provided hazardous waste storage room for storage of hazardous waste.
2. The industry has provided danger sign outside room.
3. During visit, the industry has stored hazardous waste in the hazardous waste storage room.
4. The industry has provided Environment Data Board outside the main gate.
5. The industry had made an agreement with M/s Nimbua Greenfield (Punjab) Limited for lifting of its Hazardous waste.
In view of above, May if approved, it is recommended that:
1. The passbook cum Actual User certificate may be issued to the industry for Scrap, Ash, Dross, Granules, Skimming, Residue, Brass, Zinc, Copper, Aluminum, Copper Scrap and nickle, Copper Scrap Druid @ 2400 TPA upto 19.05.2030 with suitable conditions, please (Competency- Chairman of the Board).
2. The authorization under Hazardous Waste (Management, Handling & Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 may granted to the industry upto 19.05.2030 i.e. the validity of the CTO under Water (Prevention and Control of pollution) Act, 1974.
