| Clarification Note: |
The application of the project has been scrutinized and it was observed as under:
1. The industry has only applied for category 5.1 i.e. spent oil for authorization under Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016. However, the industry has installed ETP in its premises from which sludge is generated, which also falls under the definition of hazardous waste. As such, the industry needs to clarify the disposal of the ETP sludge as the sludge is chemically dozed. Further, the industry has not included the category 5.2 i.e. oil containing waste generated from the maintenance of plant and machinery. The industry is requested to reverify the hazardous waste generated from its premises.
2. The industry has applied for renewal of authorization under the Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016. However, the industry needs to submit the compliance report of the conditions of the previous authorization.
