Kindly peruse the note/recommendations sent by EE, RO, Patiala.
The industry was recently issued show cause notice for revocation of consent to operate granted under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and cancellation of consent to operate granted under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and notice to issue directions u/s 33-A of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and u/s 31-A of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 alongwith an opportunity
of personal hearing before the CEE (P) of the Board on 23.09.2025, wherein, it was decided as under:
1. The industry shall not operate the unit till all compliances w.r.t. SOP issued by CPCB (Jan, 2024) is made by it.
2. The industry shall be re-visited by Er. Mohit Bisht, Environmental Engineer to check the compliance made by the unit w.r.t. adoption of SOP issued by the CPCB (Jan, 2024), after 15 days.
3. The industry shall furnish a bank guarantee amounting to Rs. 5 lakhs as an assurance for ensuring continuous compliance with the prescribed environmental norms and the compliance of SOP issued by CPCB for such units.
4. The matter shall be re-heard upon receipt of the compliance verification report from the inspecting officer....
RO is required to submit pointwise compliance of the said decisions and is required to process the application as per the decisions of the hearing above.
In view of above, if approved, the application may be sent back to RO, with the request to resubmit the application after attending above observations.
