• The subject cited HCF is a hospital, in the name and style of M/s SANGHA EYE HOSPITAL, 33, GUJRAL NAGAR, DISTRICT JALANDHAR.
• Earlier, the hospital was granted authorization under BMW (Management & Handling) Rules, 2016 vide no. BMW/Renewal/JAL/2020/13190631 dated 29/07/2020 for 0 beds.
• Now, the hospital has applied for fresh authorization under the BMW (Management & Handling) Rules, 2016 for 10 beds with requisite documents.
• The Hospital has made agreement with M/s Meridian Milieu Care Private Limited, Tehsil Nakodar, District Jalandhar for lifting of its Bio-medical Waste, which is valid upto 15.10.2028.
• The hospital has deposited Rs. 3000/- vide UTR no. 724429096 dated 14.11.2025, adequate upto 30.06.2028.
• The hospital was visited by Officer of this office on 20.11.2025 and it was observed that:-
1. The hospital was in operation during visit.
2. The hospital having bed capacity of 10 as per certificate submitted by the hospital.
3. The hospital has provided color coded bins at various locations inside its premises. The segregation was found proper.
4. The hospital has provided needle shredders at various locations, which were found in operational condition. The hospital has maintained record of bio medical waste generated & lifted to CBWTF. From the record it is clear that the hospital is regularly getting its Bio-Medical waste lifted to CBWTF.
5. The hospital has provided final storage space with lock and key facility for keeping Bio-Medical Waste.
6. The hospital is complying with all the provisions of Bio Medical Waste Rules, 2016.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that the authorization under Bio Medical Waste (Management & Handling) Rules, 2016 may be granted upto 30.06.2028 with usual terms and conditions and with special condition that: -
1. The authorization is granted based on the documents submitted by the HCF, if at any later stage documents submitted is false or misleading than authorization of the HCF shall be revoked.
2. The HCF shall ensure to comply with the effluent standards as notified under BMW Rules, 2016, amended upto date and subsequent amendments if any.
3. The HCF will renew its agreement with concerned CBWTF on expiry of the same.
4. The HCF will obtain revise authorization if in future it increases its beds capacity or installs operation theatre, lab, laundry facility etc.
