• The subject cited HCF is a hospital, in the name and style of M/s SHREE RAM SUPERSPECIALITY HOSPITAL, PROPERTY NO. 33, WAKIA LAJPAT NAGAR, DISTRICT JALANDHAR.
• Now, the hospital has applied for fresh authorization under the BMW (Management & Handling) Rules, 2016 for 76 beds with requisite documents.
• The Hospital has made agreement with M/s Meridian Milieu Care Private Limited, Tehsil Nakodar, District Jalandhar for lifting of its Bio-medical Waste, which is valid upto 20.08.2028.
• The hospital has deposited Rs. 20,000/- vide UTR no. 833430235 dated 26.11.2025, adequate upto 30.06.2029.
• The hospital was visited by Officer of this office on 26.11.2025 and it was observed that:-
1. The hospital was in operation during visit.
2. The hospital having bed capacity of 76 as per certificate submitted by the hospital.
3. The hospital has provided color coded bins at various locations inside its premises.
4. The hospital has provided needle shredders at various locations, which were found in operational condition.
5. The Hospital has installed STP of capacity 30 M3/day for treatment of domestic effluent and hypo treated liquid waste. Treated effluent discharged Into M.C. sewer.
6. The hospital has submitted sewerage bill from MC, Jalandhar.
7. The hospital has provided final storage space with lock and key facility for keeping Bio-Medical Waste.
8. The hospital is complying with all the provisions of Bio Medical Waste Rules, 2016.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that the authorization under Bio Medical Waste (Management & Handling) Rules, 2016 may be granted upto 30.06.2029 with usual terms and conditions and with special condition that: -
1. The authorization is granted based on the documents submitted by the HCF, if at any later stage documents submitted is false or misleading than authorization of the HCF shall be revoked.
2. The HCF shall ensure to comply with the effluent standards as notified under BMW Rules, 2016, amended upto date and subsequent amendments if any.
3. The HCF will renew its agreement with concerned CBWTF on expiry of the same.
4. The HCF will obtain revise authorization if in future it increases its beds capacity or installs operation theatre, lab, laundry facility etc.
