File Note: It is submitted that, the HCF was granted authorization under Bio Medical Waste (Management & Handling) Rules, 2016 vide no. BMW/Renewal/BTI/2022/18804595 dated 25.05.2022 for 23 beds, and which was further auto Renewed vide no. BMW/Renewal/BTI/2024/26053413 which was valid upto 24.07.2025. Now, the hospital has applied for fresh authorization for 23 beds. The HCF has already deposited authorization fee Rs. 10000/- vide Board's R.No PPCB/02, book no. 5561 dated 20.09.2024, which is adequate. The hospital has submitted copy of an agreement with common facility of Med-Waste Solutions Pvt. Ltd Village Bidowali, Tehsil. Gidderbaha, authorized by the Board for bed capacity of 23 beds, wherein MEM has under taken the liability of collection, transportation and treatment/disposal of Bio-Medical Waste generating from the hospital. The agreement is valid upto 28.11.2030. The HCF was visited by undersigned on 29.11.2025 and it was observed that:- 1. The hospital is 23 bedded hospital. 2. The hospital has provided color coded bins as well as bags for the segregation of the Bio medical waste generated from the premises. 3. The HCF has made arrangement for proper segregation of its Bio-Medical Waste. 4. The HCF has made arrangement to discharge liquid waste into MC sewer after treating Sodium hypo-chlorite solution. 5. The HCF is complying with the provisions of Bio Medical Waste (Management & Handling) Rules, 2016, hence the authorization can be granted to the HCF. In view of the above, it is recommended that authorization under Bio Medical Waste (Management & Handling) Rules, 2016 may be granted upto 31.03.2028 with special conditions that:- 1 The HCF shall ensure to comply with the effluent standards as notified by Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change under the Bio Medical Waste Management Rules, 2016 as amended upto date and subsequent amendments if any. 2 The HCF shall apply/obtain consent under the Water Act, 1974 & the Air Act, 1981 as per policy and procedure laid down by the Board. 3 The HCF shall get the validity of agreement made with Common Bio Medical Waste Treatment Facility extended well before its expiry and submit the same to the Board. 4 The HCF shall comply with the provisions of Bio Medical Waste Management Rules, 2016 all the time.
