It is intimated that the HCF is 18 bedded.
Earlier, the hospital was granted authorization under the Bio Medical Waste Authorization Rules, 2016 vide no. BMW/Renewal/JAL2/2024/25327915 dated 02.04.2024 valid upto 02.04.2027 for 12 beds through auto renew module.
Now, the hospital has applied for Fresh authorization under the Bio Medical Waste Authorization Rules, 2016 for 18 beds with requisite documents.
The hospital has already deposited Rs. 6000/- vide UTR no. IDFBH24088679399 dated 28.03.2024 under the Bio Medical Waste Authorization Rules, 2016, adequate upto 31.03.2027.
The hospital was visited by AEE of this office on 01.12.2025 and observed that:
1. The hospital having bed capacity of 18 as per certificate Submitted by the hospital. The hospital has made an agreement with Meridian Milieu Care Pvt. Ltd., Jalandhar for the treatment of bio medical waste generated at site.
2. The hospital has provided color coded bins at various locations inside its premises. The segregation was found proper.
3. The hospital has made arrangement for liquid waste treatment through Sodium Hypo-chloride solutions.
4. The hospital has provided sewerage bills issued by MC, Jalandhar. Effluent is sent to terminal STP.
5. The hospital has provided needle shredders at various locations, which were found in operational condition.
6. The hospital has maintained record of bio medical waste generated & lifted to CBWTF. From the record it is clear that the hospital is regularly getting its Bio-Medical waste lifted to CBWTF.
7. The hospital has provided final room with lock and key facility for storage of Bio-Medical Waste.
Keeping the above in view, it is recommended that authorization under the Bio Medical Waste Authorization Rules, 2016 may be granted to hospital upto 31.03.2027 with suitable condition and special condition the hospital shall comply with general discharge standards and shall submit analysis report.
