• It is intimated that the Hospital is a small scale unit with 26 bedded capacity.
• The hospital has applied for fresh authorization under Bio-medical Waste management Rules, 2016 for 26 beds through OCMMS of the Board and detail is as under:-
1. The hospital has deposited Rs. 10,500/- vide UTR No. IDFBH24136564478 dated 15.05.2024 and Rs. 2000/- vide UTR No. 28046871 dated 12.01.2025 under BMW rules, 2016 which are adequate upto 30.02.2030.
2. The hospital has submitted MOU signed with M/s Meridian Milieu, Ltd, Bir Pind, Jalandhar for treatment and disposal of its Bio-Medical Waste valid upto 22.10.2027 for 26 beds.
3. The hospital has submitted electricity bill as per proof of date of commissioning i.e Feb/2024.
4. The hospital has submitted feasibility report of ETP, incorporation certificate, registry of the land, lease deed of the hospital, location map, MOA, project report of the hospital, self-declaration and approved building plan with the application.
5. The hospital has also submitted feasibility report of the (ZLD) zero liquid discharge plant installed in its premises.
6. The hospital has submitted letter issued from MC, Bhogpur vide no. 112 dated 21.05.2024 in which mentioned that they have no objection for the operational of hospital at site.
7. The hospital has also submitted letter issued from MC, Bhogpur vide no. 113 dated 21.05.2024 as per which the site of the hospital is falls in commercial zone.
The hospital was already visited by AEE (OS) on 28.11.2025 and it was observed that the hospital was in operation during visit.
• The hospital was in operation and having bed capacity of 26.
• The hospital has installed two DG set of capacity 250 KVA and 150 KVA with canopy.
• The hospital has installed ETP based on MBBR technology of capacity 10 KLD and same was further connected with RO. The hospital has made arrangement for the utilization of RO permeate water for reuse of flushing purpose and the RO reject water is discharged through electric based forced evaporation system of capacity 8 KLD and same was in operation.
• The hospital has provided colour coded bins at various locations as seen during the visit.
• Bio-Medical Waste is being lifted by CBWTF and the HCF has maintained record of the same. From the record, it is clear that the HCF is regularly lifting its Bio-Medical waste lifted to CBWTF.
• No mixing of Municipal Solid Waste with Bio-Medical Waste was observed during visit.
• The hospital has provided final storage space for keeping Bio-Medical Waste, from where it is lifted by CBWTF.
• The hospital is now complying with the provisions under BMW rules, 2016.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that authorization under Bio-medical Waste management Rules, 2016 may be granted upto 30.02.2030 with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board and with special condition that :-
1. The hospital shall submit the annual report within 01 month to the Board.
2. The hospital shall maintain the proper record of reuse of RO permeate and RO reject water on daily basis.
3. The hospital shall operate its ETP on regular and efficient manner on daily basis.
