The industry is a small-scale orange category unit. The industry was granted ‘authorization under Hazardous & Other Wastes (Management & Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 for category 35.3 @ 0.300 TPA & 5.1 @ 0.050 KLA in the name and style of M/s Casino Ice Cream, H.b. No.220, Village Dugri, Tehsil Payal.
Now the industry has applied for authorization under Hazardous & Other Wastes (Management & Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 for category
35.3 @ 0.300 TPA & 5.1 @ 0.050 KLA in the name and style of Casino Food Products H.B. NO.220, VILLAGE DUGRI, TEHSIL PAYAL.
To verify the facts, the industry was visited by this office on 27.09.2025 with regard to consent application and observed as under:-
1. The industry was in operation during visit & engaged for manufacturing of ICE KULFI @ 1000 Numbers/Day ICE CUBES @ 0.5 Metric Tonnes/Day ICE CREAM @ 3 Kilo Liters/Day KULFI @ 1000 Numbers/Day.
2. The industry has provided Hazardous waste storage room of size 9'X9'X10'. The waste of category 35.3 is stored in HDPE bags and spent oil is stored in barrels with lock and key arrangement provided for storage category of hazardous waste.
3. The industry has provided Board showing danger sign and category of hazardous waste on room meant for hazardous waste storage.
4. The industry has provided environmental data board at main entrance of the unit.
5. The industry has made an agreement with TSDF, Nimbua for lifting of hazardous waste under cat.35.3.
6. The industry has made an agreement for category 5.1 with authorized recycler i.e. M/S VARUN LUBRICANTS CO., OPP. Central jail, Mahavir Jain colony, Tajpur road, Ludhiana.
7. The industry has stored its hazardous waste category 35.3 approx. 180 kg.
8. The industry has maintained record of generation, storage and lifting
w.r.t all categories of Hazardous Waste being generated from the premises.
9. The industry is complying with the provisions of Hazardous & Other Wastes (Management & Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016.
10. The industry has granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 upto 27.10.2026 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 upto 30.06.2030
11. The competency to decide the authorization lies with Sr. Environmental Engineer, Zonal office, Ludhiana.
In view of the above, it is recommended that authorization for collection, storage & disposal of hazardous waste under category 35.3 @
0.300 TPA & 5.1 @ 0.050 KLA may be granted to the industry upto 30.06.2030 in the name and style of Casino Food Products H.B. NO.220, village dugri, tehsil payal with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board, please.
