• It is intimated that the service station is small scale orange category unit and is engaged in the process of Automobile for Servicing @ 30 Numbers/day.
• The service station has applied for fresh of authorization under Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 for Category 5.1 @ 1.3 KL/annum, Category 33.1 @ 0.7 T/annum, Category 35.3 @ 0.7 T/annum, Category 21.1 @ 0.035 T/annum & Category 5.2 @ 0.030 T/annum.
• The service station was granted the consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Fresh/KPR/2025/30058063 dated 07.11.2025, which was valid upto 30.09.2029 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Fresh/KPR/2025/30058020 dated 07.11.2025 which was valid upto 30.09.2029 with suitable conditions mentioned therein.
A. The service station was visited by the AEE of this office on 02.12.2025 and it was observed that: -
B. The service station was in operation during visit and engaged in the process of Servicing & Repair of Four Wheeler Vehicles.
C. The service station has made agreement for disposal of category 5.1 with M/s United Petrochemicals, Jalandhar.
D. The service station has made agreement for disposal of category 33.1 with M/s J.S. Plastics, Nichi Mangali, Ludhiana.
E. The service station has made agreement for disposal of category 21.1 with M/s Nimbua Green, Village Nimbua, Dera Bassi.
F. The service station has made agreement for disposal of category 35.3 & category 5.2 with M/s Nimbua Green, Village Nimbua, Dera Bassi.
G. No hazardous waste has yet been generated.
H. Hazardous waste storage room with lock & key & danger sign has been provided.
Keeping the above in view, it is recommended that authorization under Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 for collection, storage & disposal of hazardous waste for Category 5.1 @ 1.3 KL/annum, Category 33.1 @ 0.7 T/annum, Category 35.3 @ 0.7 T/annum, Category 21.1 @ 0.035 T/annum & Category 5.2 @ 0.030 T/annum may be granted to the industry for five years with usual conditions.
