It is submitted that the hospital has applied for fresh authorization under Bio-Medical Waste Management Rules, 2016 for 15 beds. The HCF has submitted an agreement for lifting, transportation and treatment of Bio medical waste with M/s Amritsar Enviro Care System (P) Ltd, Village- Ibban Kalan, Chabhal Road, Amritsar, which is valid up to 31/05/2028. The hospital has also deposited the authorization fee under Bio-Medical Waste Management Rules, 2016 of Rs. 2,000/- vide UTR/Ref. No. 179098318 dated 02/12/2025, which is valid up to 31/12/2026.
As per the undertaking submitted by Dr. Rajinder Kumar (Prop) the HCF is 15 nos. bedded hospital and has provided STP to treat the effluent generated from the hospital premises.
The Hospital was visited by officer of this office on 03/12/2025 and observed as under:-
1. The Hospital comprising of 15 beds and is engaged in providing medical health services.
2. The Hospital has installed STP of capacity 15 KLD to treat the domestic effluent, which was in operation at the time of visit and further water was being used for plantation.
3. The hospital has submitted Dimensional Drawing of STP, Completion Certificate of STP and same was verified during visit.
4. The hospital has installed water treatment equipment in Laboratory and Operation Theatre with the help of Sodium Hypochlorite Solution.
5. The hospital has maintained the record of treated effluent discharge.
In view of the above, if approved, the authorization under Bio-Medical Waste Management Rules, 2016 may be granted to the HCF up to 31/12/2026 subject to the following special conditions as under:
1. The HCF will submit the waste water analysis report to the Board, within 02 months, where STP at terminal end is installed.
2. The HCF will renew its agreement time to time made with Common Bio Medical Waste Treatment Facility well before its expiry and submit the copy of same in this office.
3. The HCF will submit Annual Report on yearly basis in this office before 31st March every year.
