• It is intimated that the project is small scale 50 Bedded hospital.
• The hospital was already granted consent to operate under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTO/Renewal/JAL2/2024/26211180 dated 11.07.2024 valid upto 11.07.2029, under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTO/Renewal/JAL2/2024/26210132 dated 11.07.2024 valid upto 11.07.2029 and authorization under BMW (Management & Handling) Rules, 2016 Vide no. BMW/Renewal/JAL2/2024/26211220 dated 11.07.2024 valid upto 11.07.2029.
• Now, the hospital has applied for fresh of authorization under Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 for category 35.3 @ 0.047 T/Annum and Category 5.1 @ 0.02 KL/Annum.
• The industry was visited by the officer of this office on 05.12.2025 and it was observed that:-
1. The hospital was in operation during the visit.
2. The industry has made agreement for disposal of category 35.3 with M/s Nimbua Green, Village Nimbua, Dera Bassi and Category 5.1 with M/s J.K Trading Co., D-51 Sports and surgical complex, Kapurthala Road, Jalandhar.
3. The Hospital has maintained the record of generation, Collection, Storage, Transportation and Disposal of hazardous waste category.
4. During visit about 21 kg of sludge and 18 ltr of waste oil was in store.
5. There was a Hazardous waste storage room with lock & key facility & danger sign has been provided.
6. The industry has provided environmental data board outside main gate of industry.
Keeping the above in view, it is recommended that authorization under Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 for collection, storage & disposal of hazardous waste for category 5.1 @ 0.01 KL/annum may be granted to the industry for five years with usual conditions.
