It is submitted that the personal hearing given before the Senior Environmental Engineer of the Board on 26.11.2025 w.r.t. show cause notice for refusal of the authorization applied under the provisions of the Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 and show cause notice for revocation of consent to operate granted under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 to the hospital has been issued vide no. 6432 dated 08.12.2025. In the said hearing, after hearing the representatives of the project proponent and officers of the Board and considering the material aspects of the case, the SEE (ZP-1) of the Board decided as under: 1. The authorization under the Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 be granted to the hospital upto 30.09.2028.
2. The bank guarantee amounting to Rs. 50,000/- bearing no. 09431ILG000724 dated 16.12.2024 having validity upto 15.12.2025, be encashed for non-operation of STP and discharge of untreated effluent into MC Sewer (as observed during visit on 02.10.2025).
3. The project proponent shall ensure uninterrupted and efficient operation of the ETP-cum-STP and maintain complete logbooks of outflow, dosing, sludge handling and maintenance. Inlet and outlet meters shall be kept functional at all times and records shall be produced during inspections.
4. Environment Engineer, Regional Office, SAS Nagar shall revisit the hospital and verify the submissions of the hospital given during hearing; and submit its comprehensive report with conclusive recommendations within 7 days.
5. Further action shall be taken after receipt of report from the Regional Office, SAS Nagar.
