The industry was granted consent to operate under the Air Act, 1981 with following special conditions
• The industry shall engage PSCST, Chandigarh to develop containment system to contain secondary emissions i.e. the fumes and dust originating from the induction furnace during charging and tapping and emissions generating from CCM.
The industry was last given a personal hearing before the Chairman of the Board in which among other things it was decided as under:
• The industry shall complete the work to control the secondary emissions generated from its process at the earliest and inform the Board accordingly.
You are requested to clarify the above observations within 2 days.
