The application of the project proponent has been scrutinized and it was observed as under:
1. The hospital has not submitted compliance report of the previous Consent to Operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 granted to it.
2. The hospital was earlier granted Consent to Operate under Water Act, 1974 for generation of trade effluent @ 5 KLD and domestic effluent @ 10 KLD and its disposal @ 2 KLD onto land for plantation & remaining into MC sewer from 48 beds. Now, the hospital has applied for varied Consent to Operate under Water Act, 1974 for generation of trade effluent @ 3 KLD and domestic effluent @ 13.6 KLD and its disposal @ 16.6 KLD into MC sewer from 50 beds. Hence, the details given are incorrect. Further, capacity of the STP installed by the MC Zirakpur is inadequate to treat the wastewater but the hospital has now proposed to dispose off all its treated wastewater into MC sewer which cannot be allowed.
3. The site plan submitted by the hospital is not readable.
4. The hospital has not submitted copy of the agreement with CBWTF.
You are therefore requested to submit the reply of the above said observation within 2 days.
