It is intimated that the application of the industry was scrutinized and it was observed that the Board vide office order no. 359 dated 28.10.2022 has passed following directions :
" M/s Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd., Village Toansa, PO Railmajra, Balachaur, District SBS Nagar through its Managing Director / Director is hereby directed to deposit an amount of Rs.2.0 Crores as an interim Environmental Compensation with the office of Punjab Pollution Control Board within 15 days from the date of receipt of this order, failing which the Board shall be constrained to initiate necessary action for recovery of the amount of environmental compensation by adopting coercive measures.
Take notice that no further intimation or reminder will be issued by the Board in this regard. Environmental Engineer, Punjab Pollution Control Board, Regional Office, Roopnagar is directed to ensure compliance of the directions issued in the case."
However, the industry has not deposited the interim EC of Rs. 2 Cr.till date.
As such, the industry is requested to deposit the same within 2 days. |
