Description: With reference to your clarification dated 06-4-2023 06.03 pm regarding following points. In this regards point wise reply is as under:
1) Revised map of plant is prepared by the architect and submitted to competent authority for approval. As soon as we receive it, we will submit to you.
2. compliance of the directions u/s 33- A of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 issued by the Board to the industry vide letter no. 3854-58 dated 02.12.2022.
In this regards our point wise reply of compliance is enclosed vide our letter Ref. No. RSL/2022-2023/440 dated 23-02-2023. SUBJECT:
Directions Under section 33-A of the Water u/s 33-A of the water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 as amended in 1987.
Sir, With reference to your letter No. 3854 dated 02-12-2022 and scrutinizing the application regarding renewal of Consent Air & Water. In this regard, our point wise reply is as under:
i). All the Units must ensure continuous running of ETPs even during the non crushing season for the adequate maintenance of required bio –mass so that the ETP is able to take the load/shock when it receives the pollution load/effluent at the start of the crushing season.

ii). All the Units must provide for separate Energy Meter for entire ETP setup including its accessory units with data logging facility which shall be inspected by PPCB and CPCB from time to time. Reply:

iii). All the units ensure interlocking of Pollution Control Device with production process ( one way but not vice – versa)so as to ensure that whenever ETPs/PCDs are intentionally closed , the production also comes to halt.

iv). Regular inspections shall be carried out by the Board in both halves of the crushing season and also at least once in non crushing season .

v). If the unit fall in the critical zone, an assessment of water recharges needs to be carried out by Central Ground Water Authority (CGWA) or Punjab Water Regulation and Development Authority ( PWRDA) before issuance of NOC , with respect to ground water withdrawal .

3) We have thoroughly checked and found 120 TPH Boiler ESP and everything is working properly. We have get SPM of this ESP tested from a reputed lab and results are within prescribed limits. For your kind reference, test report is attached. Board can re-check and collect the emission samples any time.
We already have adequate arrangement to handle fuel ash. For running of our boilers, we need to burn 1800 tons of bagasse per day from which 30tons/day fuel ash is generated. Most of this is carried by farmers and used in their farms. Balance approximately 10% is filled in already identified low lying area.
