The application submitted by the project proponent has been scrutinized and it was observed that:
1. The industry has applied under red category (1081-Sewage Treatment Plants) and the same is not proper. The industry needs to apply under new category as per CPCB letter no. CP-18/1/2023-IPC-VI-HO-CPCB-HO dated 12.02.2025 regarding harmonization of classification of industrial sectors under Red, Orange, Green, White and Blue categories.
2. The detail filled in the application form is not proper i.e. PART-C: TECHNICAL INFORMATION REQUIRED FOR CONSENT UNDER WATER ACT, 1974.
3. The MC Chandigarh has not linked the fees with the online application form.
4. The MC Chandigarh has earlier obtained consent to operate for sludge = 18.73 MTD. However, the MC Chandigarh is now applying for sludge = 60 MTD, which requires clarification.
It is requested to submit the reply to the clarification within 02 days. Until then, the application will be treated as incomplete. |

Sir,
In reference to above, the reply to SCN as under:-
1) That the industry engaged for the manufacturing of Bicycle Parts.
2) That the industry engaged in paint stripping/phosphating/powder coating & finishing of Bicycle parts.
3) That the industry has installed LPG fired baking Ovens-2 Nos., Paint Booth & Powder Coating Booths-2 nos. with cyclone as APCD.
4) That the industry Installed 62 KVA D. G. Set with Canopy.
5) That the industry installed phosphate bath tanks for the surface treatment purposes.
6) That the industry has the PVC Storage tank of 10 KL Capacity for the disposal of effluent to CETP Operator.
7) That the industry has provided digital flow meter to record the water used. The industry was purchased in the Year 2023 & renovated, but industry & surface treatment started in OCT, 2025.
8) That the industry has installed submersible pump as source of water. The same was permitted by the concerned authority I. e. Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana.
9) That the industry discharged its Domestic effluent into sewer. No need of record to be maintained for the discharge of Domestic effluent.
10) That the industry has paid NOC Regularization Fees of the Board.
11) That the industry falls in Focal Point, No need of PSIEC’s approval as the Phase-I is a lease free Focal Point.
12) That the industry was purchased in the Year 2023 & got renovated, but industry & surface treatment started in OCT, 2025.
13) . The industry maintain its record since operating surface treatment.
14) That the industry making MOU for Category 5.1 with authorized recycler & 21.1 with Waste Take-off Facility.
