The application submitted by the project proponent has been scrutinized and it was observed that:
1. The project proponent has applied under red category (Building, Const. projects, Township & Area development ........ covered under EIA notification dated 14/9/06) and the same is not proper. The industry needs to apply under new category as per CPCB letter no. CP-18/1/2023-IPC-VI-HO-CPCB-HO dated 12.02.2025 regarding harmonization of classification of industrial sectors under Red, Orange, Green, White and Blue categories.
2. The project proponent has not filled complete application form i.e. PART-A: GENERAL INFORMATION: serial no. 9 (i) Total Land area of the industry/project (in square meters).
3. As per policy of the Board, the validity of ‘consent to establish' (NOC) can not be extended beyond five years from the date of issuance of the same, in any case. In case, any industry/project promoter applies for extension in the validity of NOC beyond the period of 5 years, then, such industry/project promoter must be asked to apply afresh for NOC from pollution angle and the same will be dealt/processed/decided as per the policies/guidelines prevailing at that time. As such, the proponent needs to apply fresh consent to establish (NOC) from pollution angle.
4. The project proponent has not submitted completion detail regarding reason for non-completion of project in stipulated time along with the status of installation of plant and machinery/pollution control devices.
5. The project proponent needs to submit the details of additional Env. activities/ CER carried out by project proponent with authenticated proofs.
It is requested to submit the reply to the clarification within 2 days. Until then, the application will be treated as incomplete. |
